Our advice to applicants: Prepare everything carefully and be authentic!

It is important to us that we provide the best possible support to interested candidates from the outset. That is why we have summarised our ideas for a really good application for you:

Complete application documents

It is very important to us to receive complete application documents. This includes a covering letter, a complete CV and all final and any interim certificates.

Describe your qualifications

Think about what makes you interesting to us. In your covering letter, describe the qualifications that make you stand out. The better you respond to the requirements of the job advertised, the higher your chances of success.

Good preparation

Be well prepared for the interviews and audits and always be authentic with us. We want to get to know you as you really are. This includes visiting our website, of course, to learn a lot about VERBUND.

The application process at VERBUND

Transparent, understandable and fair – these are important to us as an employer, including in our application process. We have defined six key steps to help you:

1) Job portal

Here you can filter our vacant positions. By date, description or site. To do this, click on one of these fields. Then click on the position that interests you. At the end of the job specification, you will find a link to the online application.

2) Application form and documents upload

Please enter your personal details in this section. Mandatory fields are marked “Required”. You can then upload your CV, your covering letter and your certificates or other documents. Mandatory fields are indicated here too. Click on the “Add file” button. Select the document by double-clicking it or by clicking “Open”. Before completing your application, you must declare that you have read the privacy policy. You also have the option of separately agreeing to the retention of your applicant data in the applicant pool. Otherwise, your data will be deleted once the application process has been completed. Finally, click on “Submit”.

3) Confirmation of your application

When you have completed your online application, a confirmation of receipt will be sent to the email address you have provided. Please check that your details and your email address are correct. Typing errors can creep in at any time. Otherwise, your application may not reach us.

4) Processing your application

We carefully examine your application documents and compare your qualifications with the job specification. When checking your details, we may find a different position from the one you applied for that would be more suitable for you. In this case, we would contact you and, with your consent, pass on your details to the relevant department (including another Group company).

5) Face-to-face/virtual interview

If your profile is of interest to us and we have found a suitable position for you, we will invite you to an interview in order to get to know you in person.

6) Audit

If you have impressed us during the interview, we would then like to find out more about you in an audit for most of the advertised positions. This audit consists of a committee of various individuals from the Group companies who have advisory, co-determination or decision-making authority with respect to filling the position. External representatives commissioned by VERBUND are also on the committee. The audit will give you a deeper insight into our company and the position being advertised. This is the best way to find out whether you would like to work for us.
