The main task of the Zillertal Valley power plant group includes the maintenance and servicing of all storage power plants belonging to the Zillertal Valley. In the VERBUND Zillertal Valley power plant group, the energy supply is secured by eight power plants, two of which are used as training power plants in Mayrhofen and Gerlos.
The Zillertal Valley power plant group has a varied range of tasks. Everything revolves around the safety of our plants. This involves investigating potential disruptions in close coordination with all employees. In addition, new installations or generator sets are commissioned and audits are actively carried out.
This also includes tasks beyond the power plants, such as cleaning inlet rakes on diversions or checking kilometre-long penstock galleries. The primary objective is to ensure the continuous availability of our plants. Our employees are continually updating the generator sets to keep them technically up to date.
Maintaining a power plant takes time and expertise. It is necessary to pool knowledge to understand the different requirements of different power plants within the team and implement them correctly.
Only when all the different cogs in the team intermesh and turn together can we work at full capacity across the board and carry out our mission with pride: to secure the energy supply.
