The Controlling, SAP & Operations department plays a central role in analysing and controlling VERBUND’s business performance. We are responsible for the planning and control of financial resources, Group organisation and the management of SAP systems. Through accurate data analyses and reporting, we support the corporate strategy, optimise our processes and make an essential contribution to the company’s financial transparency and stability. Our dedicated team ensures that resources are used efficiently in order to increase competitiveness.
As the Financial Accounting department of Austria’s leading energy group, we are conscious of our responsibility to present our financial figures in accordance with regulatory requirements. It is important to think outside the box and with foresight. Each business case is analysed and evaluated from the perspective of corporate law, IFRS and tax law. When doing so, we consider all the particulars of the individual Group companies. To meet these requirements, we work intensively together across departments.

In the People Management department, we ensure that everything related to the employment relationship at VERBUND functions smoothly. We handle punctual and correct payroll accounting, administer benefits for our employees, provide digital tools for holiday requests or time tracking, etc., and reliably implement legal innovations in human resources. We are actively committed to a long-term health culture for our employees. In addition, we advise, assist and support our employees, executives and the Works Council, and are actively working on implementing our corporate strategy so that VERBUND can rely on a strong team, today and tomorrow.
The Procurement Division plays a central role in VERBUND by designing efficient purchasing processes and reliably securing the purchase of all resources required, working together with those who consume them – from construction services and technical installations to infrastructural and general necessities. Our dedicated team works closely with suppliers to negotiate the best terms and conditions, and find innovative and sustainable solutions that meet our business goals. We make a significant contribution to optimising costs and boosting the competitiveness of our company by providing strategic management and analysing market trends.
