Within VERBUND, VERBUND Green Power is committed to actively making the future better with renewable energy and to playing its part in the transition to clean energy. The primary goal is therefore to expand and increasingly use photovoltaics and wind power.
VERBUND Green Power is the energy bundle at VERBUND and is responsible for expanding renewable energy through a wide variety of activities. One of the main tasks of VERBUND Green Power is to impart the necessary know-how to lead the way internationally with renewable energy. Here, we operate like a start-up with the backing of the VERBUND Group. This spirit, these ambitions, a high degree of flexibility and an unconditional desire to make a difference together – that is what defines us.
The construction of new photovoltaic systems and wind farm projects requires a high level of expertise. At VERBUND Green Power, we put all our energy into renewable projects in order to achieve our goal of transitioning to clean energy. Together with property owners, public bodies, experts and other partners, we are increasingly focusing on a green future.
In the Project Acquisition & Project Development department at VERBUND Green Power, we develop wind and photovoltaic projects from the initial concept through to their ready-to-build state. We cover the entire value chain associated with the green energy supply: from design and construction through to operational management, including maintenance and repair. We need to become less dependent on fuel imports. With new wind power and PV systems, we will phase out fossil fuels in the long term.
In the Technical department, we are responsible for the project management of photovoltaic and wind projects. In addition, the Project Management department coordinates new green construction and repowering projects. Careful project management and exceptional teamwork are essential to the dimensions of our projects at VERBUND Green Power. Because we always see the good in tomorrow, we continue to ensure that costs remain limited, deadlines are met and the quality of our execution is right.
The Asset Management, Operation Monitoring & Maintenance department at VERBUND Green Power acts as a technical contact and ensures that our wind and PV systems are supplied during outages and emergencies. In this department, we manage the implementation, monitoring and control of plant maintenance. Wind power and photovoltaics have long ceased to be models of the future and have already arrived in the present. Our power provides future generations with an environmentally friendly foundation.
The Business Steering & Business Development department is responsible for the commercial management and development of VERBUND Green Power and projects. This is where the holistic development of green energy through the construction of wind power and photovoltaic systems counts. In Business Development, we act as a service centre for the technicians and cooperation partners who work with us to develop our projects. From market analysis and lobbying to commercial administration, we handle all the processes that are relevant to the project.
